4th April 2014 – Snowshoe – Dog Mountain – Seymour Mtn

Hey Trail Trekkers – the end of snowshoe season is fast approaching so let’s try to get one or two last snowshoe hikes in before the big thaw.

We’ll meet at the end of the Seymour Mountain parking lot at 9:15am (leaders as well) and take off at 9:30. We all know the trail well so it will be a nice comfortable meander out to the bluff and back again.

Look forward to seeing you – let’s hope for great snow conditions and a sunny sky.

Leaders will be Bernie, Femina and Tracy

28th March 2014 – Fishermans Trail – North Vancouver

Hey Trail Trekkers – we’re meeting at the End of the Line Cafe and weaving our way down Bridle Path and Fishermans Trail.

Make your way to the top of Lynn Valley Road for 9:15 and we’ll take off on the trails at 9:30.

There are steep sections but the trail is well groomed and easy to follow.

See you on Friday.

21st March, 2014 – CHANGE OF SCHEDULE – Princess Park Hike

Hi Trail Trekkers – the snow has almost gone and it’s Spring Break so an executive decision has been made to change the schedule once again.  Rather than snowshoeing the Howe Sound Crest Trail on Cypress Mountain we’re going to meet at Princess Park and hike the trails around the powerlines and into the Baden Powell off Braemar.

Princess Park is located in Lynn Valley.  Drive up Lonsdale to Osbourne and take a right on Osbourne.  Follow Osbourne all the way along until it turns into Princess.  The park entrance will be on your right hand side prior to Wellington Drive.

See you at 9:15 – hike to commence at 9:30.

Thanks

14th March, 2014 – Old Buck Trail – North Vancouver

Hi Trail Trekkers – Bernie’s back and he’s leading us on the Old Buck Trail from Parkgate Recreation Center. Please meet in the parking lot behind the library and be prepared to climb the bottom part of Mount Seymour.

Come prepared for all conditions with good waterproof footwear and poles. The trail can be rough in sections with roots and running water.

See you at 9:15 – hike commences at 9:30.
