Shabnum: Friday’s hike at Whyte Lake

On Friday’s hike, Shabnum sprained her ankle. Sylvia wanted to contact her to make sure she is ok. We don’t have her email address and we want to make sure she’s ok. Shabnum, if you are on Routescout and receive this message, could you please contact me and let me know you’re ok. I can be reached by email at or on my cell at 604-987-9220. Alternatively, if someone has Shabnum’s contact, please pass it on to me.

Thanks very much.

27th February 2015, Carisbrooke Park to Power Lines and Above

Hi Trail Trekkers:

We’ll be meeting at Carisbrooke Park at 9:15 (Carisbrooke and Lonsdale) and walking up St. Georges to the powerlines. From there, we’ll duck into the trails and circle back and around ending up back at Carisbrooke Park around 11:30.

Bernie and Tracy will be your leaders. Please remember, we no longer are allowed to take cash – please ensure you purchase a 5 punch pass or FlexPass from the Delbrook Recreation Center. Otherwise, your annual fitness pass is also accepted.

This hike is moderate+ – the hike to the powerlines is straight uphill and once into the trails the footing is rooty and slippery. Please ensure you’re wearing appropriate hiking footwear and bring poles if required.

See you next Friday.
